Acrylic paint is frequently used in the production of fabric paint. If you wash fabric that has wet fabric paint, the paint will come off since acrylic paint is water-soluble when wet. On the other hand, dried acrylic paint is water-resistant and does not wash off. Regular washing won’t have an impact on clothing that has dry fabric paint.

A few additional measures must be taken in addition to waiting for fabric paint to dry after applying it in order to guarantee that it won’t transfer to your clothing.

After application, let the fabric paint air dry for at least 24 hours. Once the paint has dried, heat should be used to set it. The air-dried fabric paint can be ironed in order to achieve this. Additionally, before ironing, set the iron to the medium heat setting. Instead of ironing the painted side, do it with the unpainted side. If that is not possible, you can iron the paint while covering it with a scrap of fabric.
