Watercolour is a coloured pigment in a water-soluble binder. The paint dissolves when you mix in water and help it to spread along the brush on the paper. The artwork done by watercolours is called watercolour art.

Following are the basic tools required: 

  1. Watercolour paper 
  2. Watercolour paints
  3. Brushes  
  4. Palette  
  5. Spray bottle

BASIC WATERCOLOUR TECHNIQUES

While there are many techniques, here are the 3 main  techniques:  

Wet on dry: in this method, we take the wet brush on dry paper. This technique is great for adding details.

Wet on wet: in this method we use a wet brush on wet paper. This method can be used to blend colour 

Washes: if you want your painting to be consistent, even cloured, faded colour or blended colour, this method works great.
