Warli painting is a form of traditional art which is practised by the tribal people from the north Sahyadri range in Maharashtra, India. The main characteristic of this painting is that it represents the life of the Warli tribe. Warli painting mostly consists of shapes like triangles, circles, squares, dots and crooked lines. These shapes are represented as human figures, animals, houses, birds etc. we can often see ‘tarpa dance’ in Warli art.
