SIMSUM ARTS

Wet your brush, then gently tap it on a piece of paper to get rid of the extra water. Dip the brush’s tip in one colour of paint to pick up some paint.

Brush the opposing corner with a different hue. As a result, triangles will be created at each brush corner.

To blend the paint, use a back-and-forth motion on a region that is clean on your palette.

The brush should be turned to the opposite side, pushed away from you, and blended in the same location on the palette. Keep the colours in the same location on the palette’s blending area at all times.

Although the brush is 3/4 full of paint, the ferrule of the brush is left unpainted. Your strokes should feel as if the bristles are gliding when the brush is loaded properly.

You don’t have enough paint on the brush if it splits or becomes gritty. Refill the brush as necessary, but avoid mingling the paint after each refill to prevent the colours from blending together and making the paint murky in the brush.
